Hill Top Villa Mountain Resort was opened in July 2002 and is located on top of a hill, covering seven acres of land. The hotel is built with teak wood and the interior is decorated with pine wood. In its first phase, there are 24 superior category private rooms in a bungalow style. It is not far from the railway station. Kalaw is situated at about 1,320 meters above the sea level, and many of the ancient Myanmar hill tribes, such as Palaung, Pa-Oh, and Shan ethnics with their interesting traditional ways of living, are found around this area and throughout Shan state. The hotel offers fully decorated rooms with a terrace to check out the panoramic mountain views and beautiful sunset. You may even watch see from you cozy bed. Hill Top Villa Mountain Resort is the winner of ASEAN Green Hotel Standard Award for 2008-2009.
